(Gladys) Schult Home

The Schult home, located in Bowling Green, is home to 8 men and women. It is owned by Wood Lane Residential Properties and is an ICF/MR certified by the Ohio Department of Health (Medicaid) and Licensed by the Ohio Department of DD.

The home was opened on June 4, 1993 and was named the Gladys Schult home after one of the first teacher from the Wood Lane School. She was a pioneer in the Special Education field, helping to ensure that all kids got a good education.

The Schult home lives by the motto “Get ‘er done”. And when things get tough, the find the positive in the situation and use humor to get through it. Everyone knows the Schult home as being loud and having fun. Their openness and humor are contagious to all who enter.

The Schult home has been instrumental in fund raising for the Nancy Ullum Relay for Life team. The have specifically sponsored the Mother’s Day Planter Sale by collecting and potting plants that are put out for sale with all proceeds going to their Relay for Life team. This event gives the residents and staffs an opportunity to give back to their community.
