In 2010, the Larry Klein home opened in Bowling Green and is home to 3 people with IO waivers. This house was a perfect addition to WLRS because it is accessible; yet still a part of a neighborhood.
“There’s no place like home” was Larry Klein’s mantra that allowed him to lead a full and enriched life. Despite any disability or challenge, through sheer determination he had the drive to continue his career and live in his own home. We honor Larry for advocating for individuals with disabilities and living Wood Lane Residential Service’ vision of “making a house a home”
Currently one man and two women share this house. All three are always on the go. One went to Rome with his parents, one loves to get massages with her sister and the other is up for going anywhere (especially out for milkshakes with her niece). Now that the first year of residence is under their belts, the next year promises to be full of fun and excitement.
