Delbert Brown Home

The Delbert Brown Home is in Bowling Green. It is owned by Wood Lane Residential Properties and is home to 4 men with IO Waivers.
This home will be dedicated and renamed the Delbert Brown Home on June 16, 2010. Delbert Brown has been a dedicated member of the Wood Lane Residential Properties Board.
This home opened in its original location in October 1993; it was later relocated to its current location to provide a single story home that was bigger and more accessible.
The individuals at the Brown home are proud to be hard working and competitively employed. They all strive to learn new skills and further independence. Community Service is in the heart of this home. Individuals take donations agency wide for the “Tools for Schools” program for the Salvation Army. This program takes new school supplies and gives them to children in need in Northwest Ohio. In the first few months they have been able to fill several boxes. Individuals also collect pop can tabs that are donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Toledo, Ohio. This charity provides a residence for families with children staying in Toledo area hospitals. The pop tabs are recycled and the money pays for food for the families staying there. Recently, one of the guys even helped prepare and serve a meal for the families staying at the Ronald Mc Donald House.
Not only do the guys enjoy hard work, and giving back, they also want to have fun! Recently they went on a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky Ohio. They enjoyed the water slides and staying in the hotel. They also look forward to using their Toledo Zoo passes and taking advantage of other area attractions.
These guys will continue to work hard, give back, and have fun!
